I’m on the look out for a quick and easy cleanser that won’t have a bad effect on my face, so I’m putting Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water to the test. I have been dying to try this for so long and today my mother spotted it on offer in Boots and bought it! I currently use Simple make up wipes and as much as I love that brand, I just hate the thought of using wipes. Garnier state on the bottle that the cleanser will give you “perfectly cleansed and refreshed skin without rubbing or rinsing”, so lets see if it true!

Today I had a full face of make up on, including some stubborn glitter eye liner and a good bit of mascara, so I knew I had a good face on for testing this cleanser. I started with my foundation and it came off with such ease. It only took one cotton pad to get all of the foundation off and I used a second one in case I missed a bit and that was pretty much clear! I moved on to my eye make up and I held a cotton pad up to my eye to soften the product on my lashes & lids. I was so amazed when most of my eye make up came off!! The cleanser basically transferred the make up from my eyes onto the cotton pad. I was left with very little work on my eye, just a bit of mascara to wipe off.

My skin feels so soft and there isn’t a single bit of irritation. This product has no perfume and is hypo-allergenic so it can be used by pretty much everyone! In comparison to another Garnier make up remover this is a million times better. The previous remover was greasy and wasn’t very nice on the eyes. The Micellar Cleansing Water is so refreshing and it leaves your skin feeling so soft and clean. Its handy that you don’t need to rinse it off, so if you’ve had a late night it won’t keep you from your beauty sleep for too long! If you take a look at the picture above you will see that every spec of my make up was removed 🙂 I’m super impressed with this product!!! It is definitely worth the pennies especially as it lasts 200 uses so you won’t need to buy a cleaners as often 😀

I would definitely recommend you head out and buy this product!! Throw away your wipes and your time consuming cleansers and get Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water in your life!!!

I think a write-up about daily cleansing is a great way to start the blog as it is very important! In years to come we all want to have healthy and youthful looking skin and that is why you should set up a daily routine. I’m going to tell you about my routine and what products I find to be useful.

First I start by taking off my make up using Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 Makeup remover. This remover is wonderful for taking off stubborn make up and its designed for those with sensitive skin. The one problem I have with it is that the product leaves your face feeling a tad bit greasy so I’ll use a Simple Cleansing Facial Wipe to remove the grease.

Next its time for the cleanser. I know a lot of people like to use a cleansing wash but I prefer to use a cleansing cream daily and use an exfoliating face scrub a few times a week in the shower. The cleansing cream I use is Ponds Cold Cream. The smell, the texture and the results are amazing. I will rub the cream all over my face and neck and leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes and then I will get a hot flannel and hold it to my face for 5 minutes then wipe away the cream.

The next stage is toning. I two different toners; Clean and Clear Deep Cleansing Toner for Sensitive Skin and Pharmacy Brand Rose Water. I only use the clean and clear product when my face is having the cousins over (ie spots). If you use this product all the time your skin will be left dry so only use it when you’re having a break out or even limit it to dabbing it on spots/black head prone areas. Rose water was something my mother told me about, it smells BEAUTIFUL and leaves my skin feeling lovely! It doesn’t cost too much and lasts a good while!

and finally time to moisturise. Before I go near a facial moisturiser I’ll dab a small bit of Derma Eye Cream around my eyes. While I’m at home I don’t have my usual stock of beauty products so the moisturiser I’m using at the moment is Nivea Soft and you can use it on your face, body and hands. This is just a basic cream and is made for a number of uses and it is actually better than a lot of top creams! It is quick drying (fierce handy for night cleansing) and leaves your face feeling as soft as a baby’s bottom! When I’m in London I’ll use Lacura Q10 night cream although it doesn’t have the same quick drying effect it does leave your face feeling soft.
